This week,it comes to the first anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan(SPRP) .

In 2020 ,the WHO appealed the world to come together and funded the SPRP to help fight coronavirus, and was able to raise 88.2% of the $1.7billion requested for SPRP 2020.

In the past year,the SPRP successfullyshipped 19 million tests ,19.7million masks and 243million PPE,provided 12000 ICU beds ,published 509 technical and guidance documents,supported 156 WHO offices’ work,deployed 191 emergency and outbreak response teams,created 150 online COVID-19 training courses,supported 58 countries and territories for sero-epidemiological studies...Thanks to great support and solidarity from donors and partners,WHO effectively led the response in implementing the SPRP in 2020.

The pandemic ,however,is far from over.

With SPRP 2021,WHO will continue the gains from 2020 in responding to COVID-19 and other issues,with the goals to end the pandemic.
