Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention Director John Nkengasong outlined a strategy that will enable all African nations to roll out vaccines that require ultracold temperature storage.According to him, “All African countries, all 55 of them, can receive any vaccine”.
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine may be the most difficult storage needs of any of the vaccines, with a recommended storage temperature of minus 70 ℃ .For African countries, it is difficult to promote on a large scale. So the main strategy is to first set up vaccination points in hospitals in big cities ,with one or two ultra low temperature freezers available at each site. Meling -40~-86 ℃ ultra low temperature freezers are adopted to store such vaccine in Africa CDC. Proprietary targeted refrigeration technology and VIP form make it excellent performance ,adding various alarm, the freezers greatly ensure the vaccine safety .
As new versions of vaccines that require less stringent storage conditions emerge, they will be spread across the entire country. The Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine from China can be a good choice. It only require the temperature of 2~8 ℃,and was listed in the WHO emergency use list in May 7th. And for its storage,Meling 2~8 ℃ pharmacy refrigerators are applicable.
The sooner we all get vaccinated, hopefully the sooner trade and tourism will resume. Everyone has a role to play in shortening the time between now and the actual end of COVID-19. Meling is honored to make our own contribution.
